Fees
The basic fee for a full ceremony and reception, utilizing
the entire ground floor of the house and the garden, is $400
to $500. Included in the price are:

round tables (seat 4)
Hire
of our crockery, cutlery, tablecloths and/or piano incur an
extra charge.
You may wish to set up the function room on the day prior
to your wedding, and this can usually be arranged, for an
extra charge of $50.
For
an indoor wedding with ceremony, drinks and nibbles (no meal)
the fee is $300 to $350.
For
a wedding utilizing the garden only the price is $200. A marquee
may be allowed by prior arrangement.
Catering
Duart House has a large semi-commercial kitchen available
for use by hirers, allowing you the freedom to choose your
own caterer and drinks supplier.
Photography
Duart House and Gardens provide outstanding opportunities
for photography. In Spring and Summer the garden is a blaze
of colourful roses and other flowers. There is a pond, stone
walls and many impressive trees.
Inside the house a magnificent rimu staircase ascends to the
first floor, just waiting for the bride to make her entrance!
The circular driveway and imposing facade of the house make
a wonderful backdrop for photographs of wedding vehicles or
a large group shot.
Curfew
and Carpark
Because we are located in the centre of an urban area, a curfew
of 10.30pm must be imposed in consideration of our neighbours.
We have on-site car parking for 20+ cars.
Music
We have a portable sound system for hire for a fee of $100.
This can be connected to an iPod or laptop, enabling you to
choose your own playlist. System includes a wireless microphone.
A piano is available for hire at a cost of $25.
